Super-Clean Toyota Wagon, Just Needs A Windshield

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

This beautiful ’71 Corona wagon has been in Wilfredo’s family since new—it was willed to him by his grandfather, the original owner. Problem is, he’s having a hard time getting parts for it in Honduras. Anyone got any leads on a ’71 Corona windshield?

I just saw an entire 1970 version of the same wagon in the junk yard. Complete windshield with no cracks whatsoever. I actually took the side mirror for my 78′ Corona wagon. Email me for info.

A car windshield is made up of two pieces of glass that are separated by a layer of “PVB” (polyvinyl butyrate) that essentially ‘glues’ the two pieces together. Why windshields are important is because in the event of crash, it is much more difficult for objects outside a car to get in (or passengers to be ejected from the car). The windshield is unlikely to break into lots of small pieces. This layer can also help block out harmful UV rays, can add some tinting, and can help reduce the amount of sound that comes through the windshield. In several US states, heavily tinted cars are banned.

If the windshield is cracked and damaged, autoglass repairs in Maryland, auto glass repair in dc, auto glass repair va, are available to cater to your windshield problems. Question that often bothers every car owners is whether to replace or repair a broken windshield.

looks incredibly clean. The windshield might even be impossible to find in Japan by now.

I’m lovin’ those wheels. All they need is some black paint (and I do mean just some).
