This Just In: New on the Net
It looks like summer has finally come to Seattle. That said, it will still probably pour on the 4th. What can you do? Anyway, here’s the news:
- High gas prices are making commuters take another look at motorcycles. And why not? Bikes are fun, fuel-efficient and easy to park, but let’s hope all the newbies at least take a riding course and wear proper gear. Because if you ride a bike, sooner or later, you’re going to fall off. Consumer Reports
- In the face of it’s current financial crisis, the General is keeping all options on the table. Does that mean we’re going to see the world’s largest automaker declare bankruptcy? Stay tuned. Freep
- Hummer is going to start offering special edition models for Europe, which doesn’t seem like a particularly bright idea. But hey, buying a Hummer isn’t a particularly bright idea, so it kind of makes sense. CarScoop
- Does the idea of not paying interest on a car for six years sound appealing to you? Well, then you’re not alone. GM’s June promotion worked so well that the company is going to extend the deal thorough the holiday weekend. Automotive News
- The American version of the series hasn’t launched yet, and no one even knows if it will be any good. But fortunately, the original Top Gear isn’t going anywhere, and those silly blokes have even posted some bloopers. I want my BBC! Top Gear
