The End is Near: Ferrari to Build Hybrids

By John Coyle

Editor

Yup, it’s true. As governments around the world begin to tighten emissions regulations, even storied marques like Ferrari aren’t going to be able to keep from going green. The company already uses regenerative-braking systems in its F1 machines, so it’s not like conservation is completely alien to the masters in Maranello, but somehow, the idea of a hybrid Ferrari still stings a little. After all, what percentage of 599s are driven more than, like, 11 miles per year?  But hey, rules are rules. More over at Motor Authority.

That’s just plain STUPID. How many Ferraris contribute to pollution?

I think there should be an exception for automakers who’s entire product line exceeds 100,000 USD MSRP
