New 7-Series Spotted in Moscow
By John Coyle

BMW just threw a launch party for the new 7-Series in Moscow’s Red Square, and AutoSpies has posted a grip of photos. The weird hourglass-shaped enclosure it was in seemed designed specifically to foil photographers, but you can still get a good idea of how the new sedan looks. The guy who shot the shindig thinks it looks like a Lexus, and I kind of agree. Check out all the shots over on AutoSpies.

They’ve ruined it in my opinion: what WAS such a cool, sleek and unique car, now just looks like a 5-series with a 1-series grille on the front, plus the wheels look like they came off a Hyundai i10.
.
But most of all, it’s the lights that have spoiled it: the 7-series has always had a tough stance with lights that seem to lean over the front bumper, but these just look like something a ‘brand image consultant’ has stolen from a 3-series to make it fit in with BMW’s new range.

No worse looking than the last few 7-serieses have been. I thought the whole point of the 7s was to show people you had so much money that you could blow it on an ugly car… am I wrong here?
