Vantage vs. GranTurismo: Which Would You Choose?

Aston for me, now with a 4.7 L V8 it has been clocked at 4.7 sec to 60 m/h. Thats .2 faster than the Granturismo S. It is more beautiful too, while being less sophisticated. Obvioulsy with the spot pack and the weight advantage a better track choice… Maserati is too non-sporty: the 10 year old Aston DB7 Vantage went faster than the S model does now. The GranTurismo has the same acceleration as the 1988 Aston Virage or the 1996 XKR. A GT car should be faster than the next Ford Mustang GT.

Maserati: I’ve always preferred Maserati, but the main reason is that Aston Martin have dragged out this look for too long. Although the Aston is hailed as a perfect looking car from every angle…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but both these cars as well as the Jaguar XK are built on the same platform are they not? So essentially your getting basically the same thing either way you go. But anyway, I think the Maserati has a more sexy look to it! And if I’m dreaming of being rich, lets dream big and have one of each!!

well ive seen two astons around where i live and they are b-e-a-u-tiful ass cars i would take that anyday. sure the maserati has more power and economy but if i was rich i would take the aston as my daily driver, you wouldnt even be able to unleash all the power in daily traffic anyway

But the absolute killer is the JEEP GC SRT8!!!!!
6.1 HEMI V8 and 420hp and 313kw.
0-100kmh in 4.4 secs and it weighs 2 tonnes and a bit as well its a SUV.
its got backseat TV, SAT NAV, leather,brembo brakes,Great exhaust sound and its the one of quickest SUVS in the world

Hey the vantage is cool but the maserati is something else.

all this talk about Bond (007) you guys do know that he didn’t always drive an Austin Martin. there was that ‘67 toyota 2000gt he drove in “you only live twice”….

If I was crazy rich, I’d take both of them and get a different color for each day of the week. It’s only money and you only live once.

Real reason, Maserati is like the feeble cousin of Ferrari, while Aston Martin stands alone, and the DBR9 is crazy in endurance racing.

the v8 vantage comes with baffles in the exhuast, so that you can hear the car coming from 2 miles away. the masarati, is a nice car but the transmission is tied to the paddle shifters, and it has been known to die very fast. look up TOP GEAR, a british car show, the host jeremy clarkson loves the vantage, he bashed the masarati so badly it was so funny.

This is a good question! Both Aston Martin and Maserati’s have great cars here. hmm.. maybe the Maserati because they are a little less popular. now what color? I am partial to white myself.

Masarati uses a ferrari sourced V8 thats supposed to sound amazing and it probably handles a lot better. Not to mention the Aston is British. Even though there is no manual, id much rather take the GT – its more of a drivers car where it counts. The exterior is a little to modern for me – but im sure it looks stunning in person – aston martins dont even stick out on the road, they look to bland/generic.
