Wow that GTR is fast. I am not talking top speed fast, but around the bendy bits in the road as Mr Clarkson would put it. If you watch the entire episode you see that after a 45 period where Jeremy did not have access to the nav screen and got lost he still beat the train by 3 minutes. So that means that if he did not get lost he could have beaten them by 30 to 40 minutes. Not bad when racing a 200 MPH train on public roads.

I don't think there's any way the US version can touch the BBC version. Top Gear has a unique mix of personalities and stunts that can't be recreated.

I will reserve judgement until I see the US version, but I don't think it will be "Top Gear America", but instead just another car show for the states.

This was a fun video.
.
It's a nice car, but I'd still rather have a ZR1.

The U.S. version better not come across as processed spontaneity like pimp my ride or that redneck truck pimping show I caught for the first time last night. They got real big shoes to fill, and YouTube has plenty of the original show for me to watch if they suck.
-
Now to watch Clarkson. Don't always agree with the man, but he always entertains.
