        &lt;p&gt;the prius should never be considered an efficient vehicle, since the NiMH mined in Canada for the batteries, is shipped to europe for refinement then to Japan for manufacture, PLUS the emissions from making the car make it more environmentally unfriendly than a Suburban... but thats old news.  surprised that GM is actually making a come around without actually selling but a handfull of trucks in recent months and averaging better fuel economy than Toyota.&lt;/p&gt;
