Penske Porsche, All Apart

The Penske team has won the LMP2 class championship the last two years in a row, and driver Sascha Maassen offered me a glimpse into what makes one of the two identically-prepared 3.2L V8 RS Spyders tick. While some of the teams are shy about letting their cars’ internals be photographed for fear of leaking engine intelligence to competitors, the Penske team was really good-natured about the whole thing and seemed to find the photo session to be kind of a gas.
