well since here in belgium american cars are rare. and all who drive them here are fanatics, we all blink are lights or honk when we see another US car.
if you pass another car like yourself on the freeway or something, you just keep driving next to it or behind it or something so that you can check eachothrs ride out.

( btw, thirdgen camaro’s are so rare here that you get VIP parking when you go out.)
in the most expensive club here in belgium ( Carre ) i stand on the parking next to the ferrari’s , porsches and lambo’s.

I had a great encounter with a newer (2003ish) Monte Carlo SS right outside of my home town. I leveled off with him on the 4-lane and he did a double take when he looked over and saw my 86 SS. I followed him through town a bit and we both did a few burnouts at the traffic lights. Good times… still have no idea who it was or where he was from though.

I’ll always wave to someone with the same car, even if they don’t notice. Hell, I’ll wave at just about anything that I can see is nicely modified. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen another Fiero while driving mine yet.

Its rare for me to get overly excited about a car after you’ve been to as many shows as I have. I’ve seen all sorts of cars that I like or admired.

The one car I do pay more attention to was my first. If I see a Pontiac Parisenne on the street I do feel a little compelled to go check it out. Im not ussually interested in talking the owner.

People feel compelled to talk to me though. “Sweet rims” must be tattoo’d on my forehead because its the only thing people ussally say. Once and a while I get an old man who likes the car but will say, “why did you ruin it by putting those stupid wheels on it”. Its pretty rare for anyone to say anything about the car itself.

When tCs were new, I’d often wave or at least catch their eye. The downside of having a successful model thats been produced for 4 years now is that they’re everywhere! I’d still be up for a wave and a nod, but I don’t think that other people out there are looking. If I see one that’s had work done I’ll pay more attention, but I don’t think my car quite rates… maybe if I do a little more to it first!

I usually wave to the “Honda” owners as well as CR-V owners. I usually only warn my make of vehicles about cops by flashing my headlights, but I won’t do it to dodge or ford cars and trucks lol.

If im driving and I see another CRX on the road, I usally just give the other person a wink, or a smile. However, if im in a parking lot, I always try to park ner them so I can get a picture with my camera phone… cuz if there is no picture, it didnt happen. I have not put a sign on anybodys car yet, but if im parked in a quaint parking lot with very few stores, I have had a couple people come in a store and ask “who’s CRX is that?”… and then ask me a whole bunch of questions about the cars. I have also had one person follow me about 15km’s to a superstore, park beside me, exit their vehicle, rush to mine, and ask me where I got the body work done on my car. Unfortunately for them (and me), I didnt have the info as I bought the car the way it was about 4 months beforehand. But I really dont mind people asking me questions, and I always try to give the right info… I have not yet gone out and seen someonw standing beside their vehicle to get a chance to talk to them (other than @ the CRX meets), but im sure my chance will come one day!

I will do anything and everything to get try to talk to the owner of an EXP or 1g Escort. Right now I am trying to contact the owners of two EXPs that I found this weekend. There is another one I found that I have been meaning to leave a note on. I don’t seen enough Merkurs to have to do anything when I find them, however the last one I saw was in Seattle, and we did leave a note on it. I see too many Jeeps around to worry about, but I wave anyways when I pass them. Have not seen another Capri on the road, and the only other one I know of around here I already tried to buy, and talked to the owner about it then. Any time I find an RX-4 I try to locate the owner, and I have bought two of the four I have seen. I will contact the owner of another one after I get moved closer to it.

I only knew of 3 71-76 Impala’s in town and sadly I’m the last one. The first one was a 73′ that the frame snapped in half after an accident. Guy tried to sell some parts off of it, but didn’t have a title and hence I didn’t want them.
The second was a 75′ that some old lady drove around and I haven’t seen it in years
The third was I think was a 71′ owned by some kid that worked in a body shop and got rid of it to buy a mustang.

I freaked when I saw a ’74 Firebird Esprit down the street.
I nearly shit myself when I noticed the fresh ’76 T/A.

I am obsessed with shitty misfit cars.
I drool over Tempos, Escorts, pre 1998 hatchbacks of all makes. Huge rusted out american boats, VW golfs. Anything that no one in their right mind would want, is something I want.
