CarDomain Gets Private Messaging!

You guys have been clamoring for a PM feature, so our fabulous tech team rolled one out to help you keep in touch with all your CarDomain friends! The new feature replaces the Personal Guestbook and incorporates whatever messages you have in there, so it may look like you already have a heap of PM’s when you first sign in. Guestbooks for your ride page(s) will remain untouched. To start PM’ing, just hit up someone’s ride page or member profile and look for the "Send a Private Message" link. To check your own, log in to your member profile and select "Private Messages" from the menu on the left. When you receive a private message, you’ll be notified by email, so don’t forget to check your profile to make sure that the email you have registered with CarDomain is accurate and up-to-date. You can PM someone via their ride page…
…or their profile:
The avatar of the member you’re PM’ing will appear alongside your message.
To access your own inbox and outbox, log into your profile page and look for the "Private Messages" tab in the left navigation bar.
Here’s what your inbox will look like:

As long as you have your email up to date you will receive and email to your inbox letting you know you have a new private message. Also, once logged in you can change your settings on all your notifications.

Oh ok…This makes alot of sense. I was wondering what happend to the personal messages. It was there one day and the next it just disappeared. i thought i did something to my compter.

I noticed we don’t get notified of incoming private messages unless we really check them out. Is there anything you can do regarding that matter? Very demanding we are…lol. Thanks.

This is awesome! I dont know how many times Ive wanted this before. I hate when I leave someone a comment and then I cant even find his or her ride page the next day.
