Basketcase Rescue: Mike’s Free ‘72 Charger
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Some guys have all the luck. Mike, for example, didn’t pay a penny for his awesome Charger. There are some pretty hilarious pics on his ride page of him winching this sweet find out of the woods, along with some nice shots of what he hopes it’ll look like when he’s done with it. Best of luck to you, man!
How about the rest of you—ever gotten a car for free?

I just became the lucky recipient of a FREE ‘66 Corvair. A fellow member of the local Corvair club found a pair of late-models (’66 & ‘68) for sale. His son really wanted one of them, but the seller would only sell them together. My friend knew I’d always wanted a late-model 2-dr, so he offered it to me. When we first talked on the phone about it, his greeting was, “welcome to freecorvair.org.”

wow thats awesome… I used to HATE this body style, but it sure has grown on me over the last few years. a guy down the street from me has a GTX of the same vintage, and its lustful. I cant wait to see this thing progress!
