New Death Race Stills!

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

As we all know, burly explosions and gratuitous flamethrowing are the hallmarks of a great summer action flick, and it’s clear that the new Death Race movie is lacking in neither. While I’m generally not a fan of destrutcive pyrotechnics involving nice cars, I really have no choice but to admit how cool this new set of stills makes this movie look. Our pals at Jalopnik found a whole mess of pics over at SpoilerTV, and we’ve posted all the hot cars below the jump. Take a look!

Atcually its more like the infamous and better Vigilante8 and V8 2nd Offense than Twisted Metal. I gues this is as close as Vigilante8 having a deserved movie as it’s gonnas get. I’ve always wanted to build one of these cars. Should’ve made it where they were in a city. Add this to my collection of yet to own movies such as Cherry 2000, Barbed Wire, Road Warrior, Mad Max etc. You damn Mustang Fanboi’s suck, too. Liek the car is a god.

Eh, it might be okay, not as good as the old Death Race 2000 with Stallone and Carradine. That one was a cross country race with points for kills. This new thing looks like MadMax:Dockworker. What, they race in just One arena? boring… Give me another Transporter flick anytime!

Actually in Reality this particular movie was fashioned from the game CARMAGEDDON (1,2,and 3 Total Death Race 2000) Statham is being portrayed as the main character from the first two games, Research this game for PC CD-Rom, It is “A Game for the Chemically Imbalanced” As it’s slogan. As soon as i saw it i knew the movie had been a Compliation of Twisted Metal & Carmageddon, But i thought it would be a pretty cool “One-off” after all…. Who watches a Movie more than once if it’s awesome the first time, them seems to lose energy the second time around??

serriously they completely forgot the origonal, i bet not one person gets 30 points for hitting granny in the cross-walk. and none of the cars are nearly as crazy cartoony and insanely armed as the origonals but i love to see stuff blow up so it will probably still be a pretty o.k. movie, maybe.

Last year, someone wanted to buy my ‘67 Riviera to modify (destroy?) it for this movie. I refused to sell it!
Last week, I bought a lot of exterior trim parts from two 1967 Rivieras they used in this movie. At least, they didn’t throw away the parts!

Gimmie a break how frikken childish, cummon the plot is to leave the jail they win a race and get the girl – utter cock custard full of american BS rides that cant handle a bend where’s the M5 or AMG or Lotus fuck even one of my range rovers would out them – so typical instead of a great movie like Ronin or Bullet we get Escape from New York mixed in with the road warrior – but hey judging by all these posts im sure all the little boys with there trash can exhaust tailpipes will be handing each other the KY lube and getting a ticket on the way home, yea ill see it for giggles and shits but i know it looks like a turkey soon to be on DVD and no idea who Tyresse is? is that Tanisha’s or Delberts brother :-)

Chevy has to actullay produce a camero before anyone can use it in a film. Sorry CRAZY KILLER it seems chevy could care less what their customers want. Ford Rocks and I,ll put my GT up against anything chevy wants to throw out there. I am sure that is why they chose the Mustang GT for this movie.

I believe 3rd gen camaros seem to be destroyed more often because there are so many of them. They’re cheap, and they’re everywhere.

Has statham been in a movie without cars guns and explosions?
I love his movies.

Remakes are usually lame, but I don’t have a doubt that this will be better than the original Death Race 2000. Just look at those special effects!!

Has anyone else noticed that the 80’s gen Camaro (3rd gen, I believe it to be?) gets blown up or destroyed in more movies than I can count?

Ok, from the previews I thought every driver was paired with a female navigator. But the above pic of Tyrese behind the wheel shows his passanger to be far from female, especially when compared to the hotness of Stathams navigator.
