Safe and Sound With Lotus Hybrid Technology!

By John Coyle

Given the amount of legislation dedicated to making the automobile quieter, it’s kind of funny to think we’ll soon be looking at laws which dictate minimum noise requirements. After all, we don’t want blind people getting creamed by Prius drivers busy texting about how "spiritual" their hot yoga class is. And while the CarDomain editorial staff recently had a pretty hilarious conversation about said requirements with GM honcho Bob Lutz, it’s kind of cool to see Lotus actually testing a system that pipes engine noise toward pedestrians. Now I know what you’re thinking—Lotus should stay away from electronics and just keep building gorgeous Toyota-powered track toys!—but this idea still sounds cool. More over at Left Lane News.

I am happy that my RoadMonster is keeping blind people safe!
.
In fact, I have friends who have cars so loud, that deaf people are safe around them too :)
.
Ahhh, the political correctness feels soooooo GOOD!

Ha! I saw something on Yahoo that said blind people are in grave danger with hybrids on the road. I just laughed and thought it was a slow news day.
