Gumball 3000 Brings Out Some Sick Cars

By Ryan Porter

One of the most attractive things about this year’s Gumball 3000 was the well-planned US leg. Like I said before, CarDomain had every intention of being right there in the action, but when all the details didn’t work out, I decided to play it safe and spend a nice relaxing weekend here in Seattle.

Either way I’ve been scouring the net for any updates, and while I can’t find a single story or blog, I did stumble across some great pics on flickr! See more rides from the starting line of the rally after the jump!

Chrome/vinyl Lambos and flat black are so 2006. Gosh, they really seem to be “masking” the car numbers this time around. Do we assume that cars without the Puma strip and a hood badge were just in San Francisco for show and are not in the event throughout? There was a red Sportsmobile in the “parade” that was not running the event. Although – a Sportsmobile did run the 2004 Gumball. Loved the “parade” Mini decked out in GT-40 livery.
