Getting Behind the Wheel at Road America!

By John Coyle

Saturday morning, I spent a good amount of time walking around the grounds to find the best spots to watch the race from. I started from the paddock area, and when I got to the West side of the track, I about lost my mind. Why? Well, Road America has the coolest go-kart track I’ve ever seen—period.  There are long, sweeping turns, tight chicanes, elevation changes, and even a couple of nice straights. Just look at the picture below! While I only hit about 35MPH, and my driving was more Kyle Petty than Kyle Busch, my lap times dropped consistently, and I could have spent all day in the kart. If you ever make it to Road America, definitely pony up the 20 bucks and run some hot laps—it’s well worth it! More pics after the jump.

HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT THIS? IS THIS FOR REAL? MY BUDDY SENT ME THIS LINK TO A SITE THAT CLAIMS TO BE ABLE TO RUN A CAR OFF WATER AND CREATE YOUR OWN HYBRID. IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
