This Just In: New on the Net

I’ve heard about BMW’s European Delivery Program before, but this explanation makes it sound much cooler than I’d imagined. If you have the time and the cash and are looking to pick up some Bavarian heavy metal, this deal sounds perfect. Anyway, here’s the news:

  • You have to admit, it’s kind of funny to see Perez—"Queen of All Media"—Hilton making fun of someone for engaging in a little shameless self promotion. But it’s still kind of pathetic to see David Hasselhoff driving around with his website plastered across the back of his R8. Perez Hilton
  • In other, less lame, Audi R8 news, a drop-top model has been spotted cruising around the Motherland. There weren’t any shots of it with the roof open, so we’ll have to wait to see what Audi’s supercar looks like topless. Motor Authority
  • While it might not officially sanctioned by the General, the fact that 33,000 people have signed a waiting list for the Volt has to be somewhat encouraging for all the engineers working to get the car into showrooms. Automotive News
  • Remember when Eddie Griffin crashed that Enzo a little while back? Well, the ultra-rare Prancing Horse has been repaired, and it looks good as new. Think it’s selling at a deep discount? World Car Fans
  • Complaining about the DMV is a beloved pastime, but given the amount of hoops drivers in Japan have to jump through, American motorists shouldn’t complain. How do 26 lectures—at 50 minutes each—sound? Yikes. Reuters
