If it was released from under a modified 747, I think it would have dropped like a stone. all that bulbus “fuselage” of car would have weighed down the nose, even without its engine under the hood.

The Civic, like most cars isn’t designed for flight of course. Aeodynamically speaking I think a potato shot out of an air cannon has better flight properties. I’m amazed this was taken seriously.
