Semi Driver Demonstrates Complete Fail

By John Coyle

Editor

What the hell is wrong with the driver of this truck? I mean, this person is in a vehicle that’s, like, 200 feet long, and they want to try to beat a train? Seriously? From the looks of it, the bonehead behind the wheel probably came out ok. But given obvious stupidity demonstrated here, whoever is responsible for this mess has probably since died from trying to use a hair dryer in the shower or something. Oh, and while you have to love that someone dubbed Motley Crue’s "Kickstart My Heart" behind all the carnage, in this case, "Kickstart My Brain" might be more appropriate. Enjoy.

Yeah, looks like one gate closed behind him and he wasn’t quick enough to reverse back so he panicked and tried to go forward. Not entirely his fault, but he should have been able to tell the gates were about to close before he went through.

wow. underestimated something there…big things look slow in the distance like a big plane taking off into the 200mph mark..slow motion until it hits something.

This was a known dangerous turn on the tracks, I’ve seen one like this. Notice that there was a RR gate behind the truck as well and there are two tracks. He got confused and just wanted to get the hell outta there.

EVERYDAY I SEE TRUCKERS DOING DUMB THINGS, SO THIS DOESN’T SURPRISE ME.

Looks like his trailer was way out on the road behind him, blocking traffic or something, he probably thought he could go through so he wouldn’t block.

My wife worked truck scales many years ago. Her boss described truckers as “Nothing from the neck up”. I don’t think that describes all truckers, but for some that definitely is accurate.

This guy was braindead before the accident. I don’t think his condition improved much after it.

NEVER NEVER NEVER try to beat a train. If you look at it closely, the bars were coming down before he got to the tracks. So he had plenty of time to get stopped and just wait. If he was concerned about being in the way he could have backed up a foot or two. A train travelling that fast in town will also honk its horn so unless he is deaf he should have known how close that train was. This is just a plain old fashioned complete lack of judgement. He is luck that the cab did not get hit.

Looked to me that he tried to stop, but knew he was still on the tracks so he decided to try and save his life to gunning it instead of just sitting there waiting for his cab to get hit.
