This Just In: New on the Net

Last night I hung out with my best buddy, and we were seriously overserved. Unfortunately, given that we were just pulling beers out of my fridge, I don’t have anyone to blame for the way I’m feeling right now. Damn. Anyway, here’s the news:

  • There are a lot of great things about America, but it’s easy to understand why the rest of the world thinks we’re a bunch of fat, lazy morons. Case in point? Some religious idiot is now saying that his Pray at the Pump sessions have lowered gas prices. Inside, I’m crying. BBC
  • There hasn’t been much good news for Detroit lately, and the fact that domestic automakers are near the bottom of the American Consumer Satisfaction Index probably isn’t going to cheer up any forlorn execs. Automotive News
  • Now that the company has all the issues with its Roadster all worked out all of its customers are super-happy, Tesla is talking about making an electric SUV. Wait, what’s that? The Roadster isn’t all sorted out?  Autocar
  • Last year, overall traffic deaths fell in the United States. Maybe it’s because gas is so expensive that fewer people can actually afford to drive. Motor Authority
