A '70s Pimpmobile Reborn

By John Coyle

The first time I saw Super Fly, I couldn’t believe how insane Youngblood Priest’s Eldorado was, and the other day, I got to wondering whether anyone had made a tribute page for it. I didn’t find anything specific to the movie car—though I’m sure something is out there—but I did stumble across this cool page detailing the story of a pimped out Eldo that somehow would up in a Nebraska wrecking yard. Sadly, the car was too far gone to be restored, but fortunately, all of the pimptastic hardware was saved and transplanted to another Caddy. Read the entire saga over on Sneedo, and check out a bunch of pics after the jump.

i have a 1977 pontiac grand prix. kinda similar to a cadillac bodystyle. the only things i would change on this car is the leopard print, and i would put a sunroof or t-tops on there. other than that, isaac hayes would be damn proud.

I want to hate it, but I can’t. Paint it blood red and crank up ‘Black Bob’ by Kid Rock and you’ve got yourself a cruise.

That is pimp-o-licious. Ugly as sin but just audacious enough to be so ugly it is cool.

Wicked car, I would drive this in a heartbeat. I remember seeing cars like this when my family would go down to Buffalo NY in the late 70′s/early 80′s. It’s tacky, but so tacky it’s good! Glad to hear somebody saved it.
