Caption Contest: This Week's Winner!

By John Coyle

Editor

Personally, I think this is one of the funniest images we’ve ever used in a Caption Contest, and there were plenty of great comments. Now, one thing I feel compelled to point out is that retreading the "Priceless" Visa ad concept just isn’t funny anymore. Even the guy who paid off his mortgage with that pitch is way sick of it. And the whole "I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance" idea? That’s exactly like the Visa thing, except even less funny. But enough lecturing, let’s announce this week’s winner. Our first runner-up is Jon, who came up with; "The town soon learned that hiring out the cobblestone road job to the lowest bidder wasn’t the best idea." And our next runner-up is ChromeMouth, who submitted; "When you see it, you’ll shi…, oh hell, the truck beat me to it."  But our favorite entry this week came from Mark, who entered; "Come on up. Like I promised, I get to dump the load and you get to drive home." Nice work, man. Tune in tomorrow for the next installment of our ferociously popular Caption Contest!

It’s Mastercard not Visa by the way, but I’m still fed up of them either way! XD
