Grand National was like an American Import, with the turbocharged v6. It will smoke the V8 regal anyday, and was the one of fastest american productions car for a while( or something to that effect). The turbocharged v6 in it was not shitty by all means, and the car is still a beast today. I bet if most people pulled up to one at the light, regardless of what they were in(foreign or domestic), they will give you a run for your money. There is no need to drop a v8 in a Grand National, and I hope you have at least $10,000 to buy even a shitty one. Hey, subaruteam, I guess the only v8s you can humilliate that way are those old boat cars. I think its the other way instead. your cars gain power until 9000 rpm whereas a good v8 gets continous power from just 1500 rpm, so, you havent reached second gear while Im switching to fourth gear. The only good thing on your impreza is the all wheel traction which helps ya to get a good grab at launch. No piece of %*(#$ 1.8 liters (less than a regular coke eh?) has never smoked me unless its all blown up.

everybody just shut up cause a 4 banger can be as equal as a V-8 … i know I have both. Huge supercharged 4 (350+)and the standard ZZ4 modified (550+) … it all depend on how much you spend. But hard to build a 4banger that have 2000hp to go in a monster truck or to go on a speed boat . Ultimately bigger and stronger it is … more horsepower and torque can be produce and handled. Usually what dictate the size of the engine is the size of the engine bay and the use of the vehicle.

I’ve been thru the comments and I cannot believe how stupid ricers such as joe, like to tell such lies. You can’t compare a car from the 60’s to today’s crap. Today they look same as ugly ( with the only exemption of the acura NSX and the Supras), and they have to modify it’s 1 liter engine as heck to make ‘em fast. I have a 5.0 and with a few bucks spent I kill everyday EVEN subarus and 350 z’s among other plastic crap NOT ONLY in the straight but @ the track also. So NO ugly boring lexus or whatever averaqge ricer tuner can compete against real power from real cars and real engines, that’s the only point.

Altough I really hate this movies for their promiscuity and the rapper ricers, I really like the grand national scene. And the only reason I could go and see it is because of muscle cars. Yeah, I was super stoked to see that they had an ‘87 GN in there, but was so dissapointed when I heard the rumble of a V8…those cars were the fastest production car in 1987, which is why they discontinued it…cuz they spanked the Corvettes (which weren’t much in the 80’s, but who cares). I don’t care what you V8 motorheads have heard, or not have heard…those single-turbo 3.8L V6’s are made to handle a lot more punch than you are aware of. I used to own one…not many mods, but still a very fun car that turns a lot of heads…especially when they hear the turbo spool up and the wastegate flutters

V8-swapped Grand Nationals are GAY! If you’re going to do a swap, get a regular Regal and do it…don’t waste a perfectly good 80’s icon and one of the greatest muscle cars of all time!

I am going to see it even though i don’t see many car scenes but i am all about the fast and the furious. Fixed up rides, racing and babes what else can you ask for in a movie lol. I think the first one was the best one too. I’ve actually never seen Tokyo Drift though so I’m judging off the first two. This looks pretty bad ass from the trailer though. It helps that the Grand National is my favorite car of all time too.

Hell yea i think this movie will deliver becuz the original characters star in this movie. That is what the the 2nd and 3rd movie lacked except for the teaser of vin diesel at the end of three. Dont get me wrong though 2 and 3 were also good movies just not as good as 1. Oh and of course the charger is back. lol.
