Won’t doubt the Camaro comes out with a package as well as the Challenger so that’s more power but would be enough to stand with the GT500?? The best brawl will be the GT500 and the SS maxed out on performance. Unless the Challenger gets some upgrades as well then they are even now the competition is on looks not power. Me personally the Eleanor oh yeah GT500 baby. Now a days its about 4cyl. and 6cyl. with the fart cans making the new domestic look like shit but I hate imports.

Simply all due to modifications done to the engine going from stock to a suicide machine. So if you know what your doing you can build yourself some balls out of any engine. Thanks to all car and engine designers our dreams of going fast have come true from the one horse power wagon to rockets that go to the moon. The newer cars are coming out the way us the people want them. What we demand that’s what the designers of all makes will build. We wanted gas savers we got hybrids,and imports such as hondas and so on. We wanted the old school muscle back we got the challenger, camaro, shelby gt500, gto, and so on…back.
We wanted luxury and power you got Ferrai’s, Lambos, Bughati’s, Corvettes…….. So what we demand and how we can play with the economy(meaning $$$) determines the way a car will be build.

When you compare the civic with the ss you need to take in the fact that the civic is na and the ss is a turbocharged car. the challenger is by far the best out of the pic. But all real muscle cars are before 1970.

Wow I put one thing out there about zr1 and people get carried away i know you can compare them the only reason i did is because the challenger is 6.1 and the zr1 6.2 and look at the hours power differnce ….and Dragon55 Bugatti Veyron is 0-60 in 3sec right but that 65 impala that is 0-60 in 3.5 sp not much of difference between the classes huh

197 hp 2L, wimpy little 139 ft/lbs of torque @ 11.0:1 compression. So you say that a 6.2L honda motor would produce 620hp, then why does the new 3.5L honda v6 produce only 268hp and 248 ft/lbs of torque? should it not produce 418 hp and 352 ft/lbs according to your logic?

Ok ricer over redneck has a point civic 2L 200hp but the cobalt gets 260hp with a 2L do you cant down a domestic because the challenger is a 6.1v8 with 425 but the corvette zr1 is just a 6.2 with 638hp thats 213 hp more i just think domestic car makers are lazy and they just throwin engines in cars

sure these cars don’t have as much hp/L as say, about any import car ever made after 1990 but at the same time, if they did im sure the gas mileage would be horrendous.

as far as looks the CHALLANGER has it, the mustang 2nd, Performance, again CHALLANGER, but 2nd is a toss up.

Simply jaw dropping. I got to see and sit in a brand new challenger at our local Dodge dealership. I about had a heart attack. I would have test drove it, but was short on time. I like all three.

mmm its funny how the “shitty” civic can get 200hp for only a 2L engine while the mustang has 300hp in a 4.6L engine, the 5.7L from the challenger only pushes 370hp and the camaro makes 400hp from a 6.2L engine!! Im no mathematician, but if somehow honda used its technology and produced an 6.2L engine, wouldnt that engine produce 620hp? fuck domestics

I know that the Mustang is a large coupe, but next to the Camaro and the Challenger it looks small. Which means that these C-cars are way too big, somewhat limiting their tossability. By the way, Jalopnik sucks, a bunch of circle jerkers trying to one-up each other and be humorous and cutsy while cutting others down. Pathetic losers.

I like all three for different reasons. I am a Ford guy, so all about the Mustang, but seriously Ford, you can pull much more than 300hp out of that 4.6. Camaro has the power, always has, just wish it looked a little more like the concept. Rear looks like they slacked off a little. And the Challenger is freakin sick lookin and has some awesome power. But with being over 4k, it weighs way too much compaired to the others, even with its HP. At with that big of a price tag, i say buy one of the other two. Saw one at a dealer out here in Cali, and it was a $25-30K dealer mark-up. Screw that. Can get a Shelby GT500 with more HP and lighter for that. Plus it is a Shelby! Just my thoughts. But they are all three sexy i think. Screw gas prices, if you can afford the car, who cares? LOL

The Challenger looks the most menacing with those headlights. I think the Camaro would look better with chrome rims and the mustang look like if its scared hiding behind the the camaro.

I am a long time Mopar fan but I have to say I like the Camaro better. A local dealership has a black Challenger and the lights look too small and the lower chin looks too big. Maybe a different color would be better but it just looks like a fat guy with a double chin and beady eyes.
