Corvette ZR1 in the Wild
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This weekend, photographer Patrick Ernzen caught a black ZR1 at the Scottsdale Pavilions car show. The guy driving it (Patrick was pretty sure he works for GM) said it was the first in the western United States. Dunno, but this black Vette definitely looks amazing, especially in this light. A few more pics after the jump, or see the full gallery at Desert-Motors.com.

I want one too!
.
I wouldn’t mind a stripped down race-prepped Viper ACR either…
.
If the Viper only beat the ZR1 by four seconds, I wonder how
much better a stripped down version of the ZR1 that was track prepped would do…
.
Interesting…

Ehhh… I wouldn’t exactly consider this and the ACR directly comparable cars. The ACR is street legal, but it certainly wouldn’t be usable as a daily driver. This, on the other hand, definitely could. The ACR is very much a track toy while this is a street car with great track abilities. Besides, the ACR putting up such a ridiculous time doesn’t make this any less of a car.
