Vise grip was not a union job!!! The line workers took a cut in pay 3 years ago and most made around 13.00 an hour. Union had nothing to due with this company going over seas. China started producing parts for the vise grip a few years back and the nebraska plant would assemble them. The China parts were absolute junk and most of them had to be sent back and redone. They were figuring on saving 20 cents per wrench by sending it to China. The latest figures I heard now is they will be saving about 6 cents per wrench. That’s it 6 cents. If the next president starts taxing stuff higher for coming into this country there goes their few cents they were saving. I have talked to workers from the Nebraska plant they say that the wrenches produces in China are absolute crap.

Reminds me of those VW commercials. In the end they say “German Engineered” yet seem to leave out the whole “Made in Mexioco” thing.
