Jamie’s Police Interceptor Gets a Color Change
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Jamie picked up this 2003 Police Interceptor last year. He quickly added a GO RHINO push bar, clear fog lights, remote start/keyless entry, and a Pioneer CD player. It looked pretty good in the original white paint, but he got tired of it and decided to paint it Hugger Orange. Why?
It was kinda nice having people drive cautiously and safely around me, but if there was no room to pass it gets pretty frustrating having everyone drive exactly on the speed limit in front of you.
Be sure to check out page 4 of his ride page, which shows the Crown Vic with its new five spoke wheels, parked alongside Jamie’s late model Mustang and ‘67 Fairlane.

No matter what color it is it’s still a dangerous death trap. Don’t get hit in the rear. They are catching fire and blowing up. We have a cop here in Phx that got caught in one like that. No thanks!

2/3 of the above comments aren’t even written at a level that would get a passing grade in a sixth-grade composition class. Misspellings, non sequitors, and grammatical errors abound.
Yeah, I know, who gives a shit about education, once you’re out of school and having fun with cars?

inoperable. nope you will still get hassled about that, you are technically not aloud to have any visible “Filaments” even if they are inoperable or not. There are many fine lines regarding strobes, and other lights on a vehicle that could make it considered an emergency vehicle.

Haha… got news for you. Some people look at the body style and disregard the color. You’re still gonna have some flies in the ointment.

I never thought of the owner’s perspective about driving a former cop car. I guess it’s safer. I’d probably just make the most of it. People don’t like to linger in front of cop cars in the left lane. It would surely help coax over the jackasses who like to hog the left lane.

I would have just de-stickered it and made sure there were two red lights on the rear window deck, inoperable of course.

I also saw a comment he left on another page saying that he got pulled over and they told him to change the color of the car or they were going to fine him for looking like a cop. Its a pretty sweet ride though.
