This Just In: New on the Net

Saturday evening, I was supposed to get to drive the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage. But just as I feared, my plane got delayed, and I wasn’t able to make it. Sometimes life just sucks. Look for Rob’s report later in the week. Anyway, here’s the news:
- Porsche is almost ready to unveil its Panamera. The Panamera section of its website is up and running, and there’s even an official teaser pic. Personally, I think the car is hideous, but I’m sure there will be plenty of Porsche faithful that will disagree. Auto Express
- Times are hard here in the United States, so much so that the General has decided to trim production of its Corvette. Some workers are going to lose their jobs as a result of the cuts, which makes bad news even worse. Motor Authority
- Ok, so I use the term "sexy" in regard to vehicles all the time, but that doesn’t mean that I think anyone should actually have sex with a car. And especially not in public. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Jalopnik
- So the Ferrari-powered Rambler—the Ferrambo—is really cool, and I know that a lot of work went into it, but the idea that this car is worth half a million dollars is just ridiculous. CarScoop
