The Monster Mile Awaits

In a few hours, I’m headed to Dover International Speedway for four staight days of NASCAR action, including both the Nationwide race and the second Sprint Cup race in the Chase for the Cup. To get full press access, I had to absolutely swear on all that’s holy that I would not behave like a derranged superfan. I was specifically forbidden from wearing my No. 07 shirt and from "tackling any drivers"—darn, months’ worth of strength training for nothing! In exchange for this unprecedented access, what you’re going to have to put up with is Suzy Bruisy on her best behavior—and frankly, I don’t even know what that looks like. It probably means I’m going to have to be at least slightly less hammered than I was at Talladega, but I’ll be doing my best to get you some killer coverage despite the obvious constraints!

Stay tuned all week for live coverage from Dover. And don’t forget to watch the races on ABC so we can argue about them in the blog this weekend. Nationwide starts on Saturday at 3pm Eastern on ESPN2, and the Sprint Cup race is on ABC on Sunday at 1!
