As an owner of a 2007 AWD Limited (w/ 7-passenger), I have to disagree with the overall review. Speaking from experience and driving this car in every type of weather condition in the midwest, it does more than a thorough job in each and every respect. Most families I know care a bit less about extraordinary performance and stereos and more on day-to-day functionality. In-laws in town? Put everyone + your kid/s in one vehicle and go out to dinner/museum/park, etc., in comfort. Coming from a lifetime Honda family, the switch to Hyundai was tough at first, but no regrets whatsoever. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, no other SUV could touch it. BTW, the night shot of the overly exposed blue-interior lighting just isn't fair. As with any vehicle, there's a dimmer to suit your level of brightness.

I think your on to something, these are designed to catch the high of women more then men. Women want to feel safe but still feel they have control over thier vehicle. So when you say its a mall vehicle I'd have to agree, cuz we all know what women love most!

I think so many people buy these vehicles for the look. They may be average in performance and that's fine for most. They really just don't know what there missing out on.
