Ma Mopar Jumps on the EV Bandwagon

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Hey, if those Tesla guys can huck a bunch of batteries in a Lotus, so can Chrysler! Check out the new Dodge EV, which looks like it’s based on the Lotus Europa. This is just one of four new vehicles in Chrysler’s ENVI electric car program. There’s also a Jeep Wrangler EV and a Chrysler EV. More at Jalopnik.

I’m telling you, you can’t be Honda V-Technology. Even Dodge bought the rights to the discontinued Acura RSX headlights. If they use the motor too, then this will be a car worth while. Who’s the ricer now bitch?

wow…this is just annoying.

it doesnt look bad at all

in fact it looks great, its just that its a lotus with rsx headlights

and the fact that its a dodge only makes it worse

Looks just like a Lotus. It just proves that Dodge is WAAAAAY behind in the design department. Let’s see dodge come up with something original for once, hmm?

To Here to Inform Derrick,
If you didn’t notice I asked a question, and the correct answer was, yes its called insulation. (just trying to mess with the smart asses here on ta interweb. I guess you could say I was fishing.)

And might I point out this is Chrysler we are talking about, you just know they’ll skimp on some insulation to save a buck, and some poor sap will end up in a puddle 30 miles from civilization. Hope ya got a satellite phone or your walking boots on.

The headlights kinda look like RSX lights.

Derrick:
-
I think they can protect the electric components by INSULATING them.
-
Gas and Water don’t mix either, neither do Oil & Water – Yet the Jeeps of Today wade through creeks. No difference whether it’s electric or gas in that respect.
-
In fact, with electric, there’s no chance of water getting into the tail pipe or air intake (as is with non-snorkeled SUVs) so I’d say that electric may have some advantages.

Is it just me or does an electric Jeep sound like a bad idea? You know like because WATER AND ELECTRICITY DO NOT MIX, or did they change that little law of nature?

Um, Ya I’ll take the Tesla over this any day.

Plus this is really ugly, it would look better with out the strips and the yellow. Some cars look better in yellow than this.

Can it be?
-
I must resist optimism.
-
It will, if it reaches production… look like a Neon.
