This Just In: New on the Net

John is MIA. I hope he’s not in a Korean jail. Jen is trackside at Road Atlanta, and Ryan seems to have recovered nicely from the terrible illness that kept him out of the office yesterday. Now here’s the news:

  • Bush signed off on the $25 million dollar loan to the automakers formerly known as the Big Three. But that doesn’t mean they get their money just yet. Autoblog
  • Ford sales are down 34% for September. And that doesn’t include Volvo, which reported a 52% drop. Ouch. Jalopnik
  • David Wallens and the rest of the Grassroots Motorsports crew have just arrived at Gainesville Raceway in Florida. We’ll have live reporting from the $2008 Challenge starting on Friday. Grassroots Motorsports
