GTbyCITROËN Beams Down From Outer Space

That’s not a typo in the headline–GTbyCITROËN is all smashed together and capitalized, just to be extra super duper awesome. This joint venture between Citroën and the makers of Gran Turismo is blowing everyone’s minds in Paris. The car was created for the 5th game in the Playstation series, and apparently visitors to the Paris Motor Show can drive the car in a simulator at the Citroën stand. No word on whether or not this space age vehicle will ever fully make it to the real world. More pics after the jump, and you can see even more pics and read the press release over at Jalopnik.

I like that quite a lot. That car looks like it is going faster while standing still than most cars look like when they are going fast.

Damn sexy. I am curious though why a Japanese programming company partnered with a French car company. Does this mean that Gran Turismo is just as popular in Europe as it is here in the states?
