Accidental Skate-Ramp Launch

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

Something tells me that this suburban commuter’s sweet skate-ramp jump was not an intentional maneuver. Maybe this is why your mom is always telling you not to leave your toys out.

For the people saying that the ramp they “built” is strong: It’s a ramp that they bought ALREADY built! You can tell by the rail that it has at the edge and the flat part it has for grinding purposes! So this kids didn’t build a ramp they bought one, that my explain why it didn’t crumble when the car went over it.

Oct 8, 2008 at 12:27 am

lol some people just cant see.
shit it looks like fun if that happened to me i’d do it again and make the kids jealous and have them bug their parents to get them a car to jump ramps with…. lol

Oct 7, 2008 at 1:48 pm

It was Planned!!!!!!!, Because The Kids Were Waiting, And They Waren’t That Extremely Impressed, And The Camera Was Waiting For The Car Too. It Was Probably Some Rich Kid With A New Car That His Mom Bought For Him, Because If He Would Have Bought It He Would Not Even Think Of Doing Something Like That.

scott
Oct 7, 2008 at 1:44 pm

If it was staged, the kids were not in on it. Check out their reactions/body language, especially the kid in the light blue shirt.

Thats exactly why old women shouldnt drive. Older women are some of the worst drivers on the road. She could have flipped that car if it were just a tad bit higher and rolled the car over on those kids. How did she not see that?

Aaron
Oct 7, 2008 at 10:22 am

i think it was probobly the driver hadnt gotten used to the car yet so the driver hadnt yet established there sense for the right side of the viechle. Cause we all know it takes a little while to get used to senseing how far over the car is on the right

nismoke
Oct 7, 2008 at 10:17 am

maybe he was an angry neighbour that wanted to crash the kids ramp?

Anonymous
Oct 7, 2008 at 8:09 am

who would do that with a brand new car unless it unintentional
i could understand jumping it with some POS

Ritch...
Oct 7, 2008 at 6:19 am

What if it would have rolled over the kids in the yard. If it was “planned” I would not have let the kids stay by the road.

GTwildfire
Oct 7, 2008 at 5:52 am

I really doubt it’s planned, even though the ramp held together and the camera was running.

evan
Oct 7, 2008 at 5:49 am

def scripted, why was it videotaped? how come the ramp is incredibly strong?

Anonymous
Oct 7, 2008 at 5:04 am

i think what happen was the driver got pissed and and decided to ruin the kids fun and destroy there ramp by running it over but instead they jumped it….possible….maybe

Brandon
Oct 7, 2008 at 4:58 am

So since this can hold a car.. Should we have children take over the architect and engineering fields????

What Nick Said???

Oct 7, 2008 at 4:21 am

“Two 10 year old kids are sitting on the side of the road staring at me while I cuss unspeakable words at this ramp and then kick it onto a lawn.

Then I drove off.”

Now THAT cracks me up.

Chris
Oct 7, 2008 at 2:46 am

The boy in the blue shirt cracks me up.

Mon
Oct 7, 2008 at 2:44 am

Jen, this was a scripted act. Video cam and all, what made you think this was an accident???!!! Unless you were born just yesterday.

FordRulesAll
Oct 7, 2008 at 2:21 am

What homemade “skateboard ramp” can easily with stand a car, not any that I’ve seen.

nick
Oct 7, 2008 at 1:55 am

ok so heres a question that needs to be asked… why is there a camera recording these kids play?

Dave
Oct 7, 2008 at 1:52 am

Shit this brings back memories!

Earlier in the summer I was cruising around town in my mom’s 2007 Honda Accord..windows down, radio cranked up

I turned onto a side street and the sun was directly in my eyes. I’m driving along trying to peer under the sun visor to see where I’m going and suddenly THUMP!!

I slam on the brakes and I’m like ‘what the fuck?!’

I get out and look behind the car, realizing I’d just ran over a skate board ramp. Two 10 year old kids are sitting on the side of the road staring at me while I cuss unspeakable words at this ramp and then kick it onto a lawn.

Then I drove off.

Thankfully, no damage.

Oct 7, 2008 at 1:18 am

:-O after watching several times..still cannot differentiate the “originality” of the “accident” LoL I think the dumbo did it on purpose..but then again..WHY??

Mikey
Oct 7, 2008 at 12:48 am

I think thats a brand new mazda 6, no? That sucks for the driver, not so new anymore haha
