Wow! a Mustang! What a rare vehicle, that I rarely see on the road… Not like I ever see one ever block or so….

I hardly burned anything. there is a song 23 minutes long.

Got my car started! Then one of my wires burst into flames…. but the car started! All is good though, except I can’t post any of the pics because I lost my camera cord….lol

I picked up some used Firestone MT’s for 80 bucks. And got an underage drinking citation. So yea it pretty much blew.

Turns out a head gasket didn’t blow in the Firebird. It was a freeze plug hidden above the starter. I refinished parts as I rebuilt the top of the engine, but I fortunately hadn’t removed the manifolds and heads by then. Unfortunately I didn’t torque the passenger side rockers properly and realized that when I started it after the rebuild.

To add to the fun, the freeze plug hole is BURIED. I used a 13mm socket with a universal and two extensions to reach the hole and torque the expander in, but it was impossible to get a hand in there to restrain the universal.

Anyway, I called the prez of my ‘bird club and had it towed to him around the corner, he’s fixing my mistake. I’ll post pics of the work when its done. It’s still basically stock, but the finish on parts has been upgraded. There’s a lot of steel and aluminum that’s been wire brushed and hit with high temp clearcoat, combined with a refinished upper intake manifold and alternator.

burned a whole lotta gas in a pontiac.

I also burned up a lot of gas, but in my charger.

i fixed my starter shim from hitting my flexplate. checked out my sis new ,that pepbpoys says it needs close to 2000 worth of work but i dont see it
