There Goes the Warranty: GT-R Donuts!

By John Coyle

Since I’ve heard horror stories about dealership snitches turning in guys who autocross their cars—so they’ll have to pay for what would otherwise be warranty work—I was a little surprised to see someone had posted this clip. But since the GT-R in question has probably already emailed Nissan World Headquarters and reported about the "abuse" its owner is dishing out, the cat is probably already out of the bag. Personally, I don’t care if Godzilla can drive on the ceiling and do my laundry, I’d take a proper supercar—Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin—any day of the week. At least those manufacturers expect their cars to be flogged. Otherwise, what’s the point?

whats awesome about it, is that money and performance wise, it can give those “proper super cars” some serious competition!!! lets not forget, being a Nissan.

Nah, I’d take the Nissan. I dunno why, kinda coz it’s unique, dunno. It just appeals to me way more than any other supercar. I guess coz it’s a supercar and a tuner at the same time.

The only thing that would make me not want to buy the car is the fact that the on-board computer reports everything the car is doing back to the nissan dealership. On the other hand I got to see a GTR up close today, it pulled up next to me and it wasnt all that bad looking or sounding. So far that is the second GTR ive seen in my area.

I agree 100%, I’d MUCH rather have a Maserati Granturismo S, Porsche 911, or Aston Martin DB9/DBS. The extra costs are worth it.
