This Just In: New on the Net

Apparently, the military wants a flying submarine, and no, that’s not a joke. What the hell? Seriously, is there a profound need for their when half of the Air Force’s fleet is like 50 years old? Anyway, here’s the news:

  • Chrysler employees might be despondent about the possibility of GM buying them up, but at least Ma Mopar is throwing them a bone. The Viper is now eligible for employee pricing. Think they’ll let folks roll their 401K right into some V10 muscle? Chrysler
  • Since he’s invigorated the Bond franchise and made a generation of kids lust after the DBS, Aston Martin has decided to allow Daniel Craig to drop in and use their test track—and any of its rides—any time he wants. Damn. I guess being 007 has its perks. Motor Authority
  • Nissan is hosting a driving school for new GT-R owners at the ‘Ring, where they’ll get the opportunity to see exactly how powerful Godzilla is. But if they were to do this with their personal cars, wouldn’t there be warranty issues? CarScoop
  • There are sure to be job losses if the whole "General Mopar" thing goes through, and Michigan is preparing for the worst. The bright side? It’s not like the state has never seen massive layoffs before. Detroit News
