Storing Your Car for the Winter? Put Your Sun Visors Down!
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
It’s getting to be that time a year for a lot of people. In addition to the usual stuff like adding gas stabilizer, disconnecting the battery and covering your car, you should also put your sun visors down. Otherwise, a mouse might try to make a house between your visor and headliner! I’d heard about this before, but never seen it illustrated like in the picture below.

Thanks for reminding me about that. I would hate to get my ride out this spring and run into that problem to deal with.

A good tip to go along with this. Make sure that your Heater/AC vents are closed and everything is set to off. 9 time out of 10 they enter your interior through your fresh air vents.

Another thing I do to keep the musty smell out and mice is place a hand full of dryer sheets on the carpet and seats. This absorbs some of the moisture and puts a nice light scent in the air. It works great for my car which sits for 6 months out of the year.
