This EV1 Sold in Canada? Huh??

By Katherine Helmetag

AKA atomicalex

This ad purports to have sold a real General Motors Corporation EV1 up in Canada for close to US $340,000! Since the EV1 was never marketed there, and technically all of the cars that were leased to consumers were crushed to avoid issues with future maintenance, what’s going on here? If this is the real thing, I hope GM doesn’t get all lawyered up on the new owner. I’d like to see them put the car back on the road and use it as part of the Volt marketing campaign. After all, the EV1 did pretty much start the whole craze.

All the EV1s were crushed but a single red one which resides at a museum. The cars inner workings were all gutted too.

No one has this car, I am telling you now.

They won’t be rolling out the EV1’s so curb your enthusiasm.

The jackasses at GM as you noted, destroyed them. They’re not gonna drag out their efficient, innovative, well liked and questionably discontinued baggage to launch the Volt.

I hope the Volt’s gonna be set for European sale, might sell better there cause they spend more for their rides. Too expensive for mainstream buyers in the U.S.

Wow! If this is real then it’s nice to see that one of these survived!
