Mobil 1 Porsche 996 Turbo to Debut at SEMA
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This gorgeous eye-searing green 996 Turbo will debut in the Mobil 1 booth at SEMA next week. Conceived and built by Vincent Wong of iForged wheels, this thing has undergone a complete Porsche 997 Techart GT Street widebody conversion and packs an Artsian 650HP Turbo upgrade. More specs and photos on the ride page, and there is a long thread detailing the build over at Rennlist.

Unlike one of you said, the wing is functional, if you look at the general shape of the car the wing would divert the airstream generally upward, although i think it is a bit ugly for this car. And to the comments of the wing being huge, look at gt racers, then tell me this wing is huge. To me it looks like that wing is functional, and i personally think all supercars should get a wing, unless you want it purely for show (in which case get an r8 and give that car to me). Those wheels are perfect on it, at most 1′ more would be fine, and that front bodykit style is used too much on porsches (see techart tuners), but the back end is PHENOMENAL.

That is no show car by any means, just look at the interior it looks like crap and so does that big fake wing in the back that just adds more weight to the car.

you ppl make ricer comments, the color is deserving of a supercar theyre supposed to be bright and eye catching and the wheels are perfect or do you want them to go “pimp my ride” style and put 22’s spinners, the cars beautiful as is and unlike ricers the big ass wing actually serves a purpose on this car

Umm…
That’s not a 997.
Good try though. It’s a body kit that utilizes the headlights, tailights, taillight mounts, hood, and front fenders from a 997. The key to tell it’s not a 997 is the door handles.
Also, the interior is a pretty easy way to spot it as being a 996 as well.

Yeah, Cd, I agree, I like the front and rear scoops. The wing is just gay though. I’m also not a fan of the black wheels either….or the color of the car for that matter.

The front air scoops of this kit look phenomenal. I do like the looks of the rear air scoops, and wonder if they’ve improved the aerodynamics (to counter the drag of that huge tail, which looks ridiculous imho).
