Spooky-Crazy Euro Ford Granada Hearse on eBay

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

This great little Ford hearse is actually right here in Seattle, so I’m fighting the impulse to go check it out. It’s one of those Euro-style funeral coaches that puts the coffin right up on display in a glass case—even on the roof-rack for the funeral procession!—which just seems much creepier than the panel-sided hearses of the US, where we prefer to hide the dead. The seller explains that he had to draw the line at driving a black hearse—so he painted it Corvette yellow. As for the price, though, he’s totally dreaming, and is clearly trying to recoup some of the cost of shipping it over here. Check out the auction!

This car was totally built for you. Early 80’s for and a hearse. Hell if was Diesel powered you’d have a trifecta going.

Saw that thing on Madison the other day – not only is the yellow weird, but the huge glass side windows that let you clearly see the coffin inside make it even more strange. There’s something about a hearse looking so light and airy that just ain’t right.
