CDC Group 2 Challenger

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

As expected, there are a ton of Challengers at SEMA this year. This Classic Design Concepts Group 2 Challenger is the most interesting one I’ve seen so far, with composite front fenders and composite rear flares incorporating ‘Cuda-style billboards. More pics after the jump.

not too sure about the rear quarter treatments. Likin’ the front parts, but behind the wheel wells just looks… unfinished somehow.

oh, and 14’s would look good in a wheel well that big, as long as they had real tires on them

I think the car looks pretty good, except for the huge rims with rubber band tires, and I don’t see where the problem is with the shaker hood either.

Key words fuck face: “LOOKS FAKE”. That does NOT translate into “IS FAKE”. The craftsmanship of that scoop is shit. Go back to school and learn to read asshole. And Since the car is designed with large wheel/tire combo in mind, 18s are as big as it should have so it at least has some sidewall. I’m not opposed to 17-18 inch wheels, as long as they look right, these 20-24-30 inch wheels look wrong, period. I’d rather have a car that can actually be driven everyday and doesn’t look like something out of a bad videogame.

dodge chassis are made by mercades. might wanna look up the specifics but ive herd they work together to make dodges sedans and merc is the reason the charger coup never was produced. (the doors were to heavy is set off the balance of the car or sum s***.)
dont like this crap though the car is sick on its own but to get to sema you have to be different.

the car looks sweet, from a ways off, I really don’t like the look of the rear “flares” though the are shaped like the hemi stripe from the old ‘cuda. I really dislike that the edge is about a half inch thick, and does not really follow the lines of the car it’s attached to.

Uh Mark, I doubt the big wheels and tires trend is going to die (at all) remember how just 4 years ago 20″s were the biggest things ever??? Have the trend died or have the rims gotten bigger??? Yeah so this is not going to die. And if you think the shaker hood was taped on, then you’re a moron that doesn’t know what you’re talking about!

so mark you want 14″ rims in a wheel well that big???

Honestly, I think that looks like shit. The billboard flares look terrible, the 44″ rims or whatever the fuck they are, are just vomit inducing. I can’t wait until the big wheel and tire thing just fucking dies already. That shaker isn’t impressing me either, it looks like a fake that they double side taped to the hood.
