Foose is everywhere

By Katherine Helmetag

Chip Foose is everywhere you look here at SEMA. I popped into Lincoln Electric to check out their new Precision TIG 225—the TIG welder for the rest of us—and spotted Foose on Lincoln’s new lightweight full-screen welding hood. I tried it on—it’s lighter than a regular full-screen auto-dimmer, and it’s way lighter than my old glass helmet. It’s also tricked out with the Hemisfear color scheme.

Does Chip really need the $? My auto darkening helmet from MILLER cost over 225$. Money well spent. I cant imagine how much you gotta shell out to have Chips name on it.

I don’t see what the big deal about Chip Foose is. Most of his designs are pretty ugly. I used to watch overhaulin’ but I got sick of his having to lower and put big rims on absolutely everything. His formula for designing a car is to put too big ugly Foose wheels on it, lower it, add a two tone paint job, maybe throw in a stripe or two, and expect people to like it because your Chip Foose.
