Dale Jr. Edition Camaro
Now Junebug sure loves him some Camaros, so it was only fitting that Chevy would put out a special edition of its new musclecar to celebrate its most popular NASCAR driver. It’s got the 6.2L E85-capable V8, shorty headers, and Hurst short-throw shifter. Factory ground effects, rear diffuser, rear lip, and interior and exterior JR Motorsports trim round out the package. Who knows—like the Dale Earnhardt Monte Carlo before it, this hopped-up Camaro might become the favored baby-daddy car of the next decade! Check out this GM video of the Dale Jr. Camaro getting built, and look for more pics below the jump.

Wheels look okay, but HEAVY. Ride height is okay as an off-the-showroom-floor car, but too tall for a show car. Spoiler is too big; looks like it would reduce the top speed by 50mph. Interior is a sea of boring black plastic with a red stripe; needs more color accents, maybe some more silver trim to match the pedals.

The nose & hood look good and the colors that’s about it. Ride height is off, drop it 1.5″ to fill the gap between the tires & fender lip and bring the nose & side skirts closer to the ground, right now car looks a little “lifted” Wheels just don’t look right, I think the design works but lose the polished edge on the spokes and leave the polished lip. Rear spoiler looks too big & bulky, trim it down and get the bottom edge off the rear tail lights, makes it look like they should bigger but the the bottom of the spolier is covering up the top part of the tail lights. The exhaust, lose the bulky lookin crome trim, it doesn’t fit in and disrupts the monochromatic look of the car, better yet, move them to side ports that exit the side skirts just in front of the rear wheel, small polished edge, to compliment the polished lip on the wheels. The interior, oh jeez, scrap it alltogether and start over, and use a smaller red stripe next time, that one is just way too big.
Overall I like the car, besides, I’m shure it won’t be long before Chip Foose has a kit to fix all that.

The paint scheme looks great, I’d have to agree on the wheels not looking so good and boy that interior looks like GARBAGE! That is one of the cheapest looking interiors I have seen on a muscle car yet. What were you thinking about GM???

The “red” stripes SS & Kevin are referring to are actually probably orange. I don’t know this for a fact but since JR Motorsports’ colors are orange, black & white & this is a Dale Jr. Edition Camero, it would make more sense for the stripes & inside trim to be orange rather than red.

The exterior lines and paint on this Camaro look fantastic.
Wheels: I agree with previous 2 posts, the wheels look like crap and very disappointing. I’d like to see a 1-2 inch lip on the front and 4 inch deep dish lip on the rear wheel.
Dash: looks cheap, like it was designed by Fisher Price. GM should take a few queues from BMW. Lose the red stripe and install some burlwood.

I like the exterior. It looks really good. I’m not a fan of two tone but it works with this car. The interior looks like shit with that ugly red stripe going through the dash. And the wheels are pretty gay looking. You’d think with the car looking like it does, they would have went with a more muscular wheel. They’d been better looking on an import or something like that, not an american muscle car. Also, the Jr decal on the car looks pretty ugly as well. The overall exterior looks good, but you can tell the last minute details they wanted to add really cheesed it up.

Pretty cool! Don’t like any car with a NASCAR theme/design except for: “Intimidator” Monte Carlo, Don’s Tribute Ford Galaxie and now THIS!!!!
