SEMA Top Ten Trends: Pony Car Wars
The pony cars wars are definitely on. Hey, maybe gas prices will keep going down. And maybe the Big Three will survive after all. Who knows? But the Challenger and Camaro rule SEMA right now. There are fifty bizillion Challengers, and the Camaro absolutely dominates the GM booth. And don’t count the Mustang out, either—Ford used SEMA to launch their new Cobra Jet Mustang, a purpose-built drag car with a 5.4-liter V8, A/C delete, 9-inch rear end and your choice of a 6-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission with SFI bell housing.

wow, why did they have to show the pic of the ugliest camaro out of all the camaro concepts. They should have used the black concept with the ls7 in it. http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/featuredvehicles/0812chp_2010_chevy_camaro_concept_photos/photo_04.html

Its hot rod time. I love the three monsters. i’m glad that the american bad ass, fast, insane, mean looking big rear tires coming back. My wife has an 08 mustang gt, and i want the challenger rt. By the way, i like the three cars alot, and even though i am a hemi guy, i like the mustang 2.

the challenger was a cool concept, too bad people all say its just fat, slow, and eats lots of gas by today’s standards. hopefully the Camaro can help GM, i mean it seems like a cool car even with just the V6 since its not completely gutless anymore. too bad the only cars with any hint of performance that i could buy without spending until my 30s making payments is going to be used, which will probably not be as reliable as i want it to be either.
oh and I love this retro craze, except for the PT Cruiser. its the lamest car ever, right up there next to the HHR.

to mark:
I don’t agree with the yellow wheels either, but it’s a tribute to the Sunoco Camaros from the old Trans Am series from the late 60’s. That’s how that one was, so that’s how this one is. As a tribute, I love it.

I agree with Mark, it seems like the wheels are really not looking right! I like all of them, but I would lean towards the Challenger!

the Mustang’s my least favorite of the three, maybe because I’m used to that body style. oh well let the pony car wars begin.

All three of those cars are looking mean as hell, I’m not digging the yellow wheels on the camaro though, I like the style, just not the color.
