Amoco Ultimate October Winner!

The beautiful thing about the automobile is that there are just so damn many of them and each has their own distinct personality. They come in wonderful shapes and sizes and make all sorts of wonderful (and sometimes not so wonderful) sounds. Some, however, really stand out in the crowd. Take this 1951 Chevy convertible—Amoco Ultimate entry #1357. Nothing too crazy at first glance until you begin to look closely. Check out those massive white walls, chrome wheels and red interior. Look at the chrome around the windshield and the spotlights that extend off the front quarter glass. Also check out how the car is lowered to give a really aggressive rake to it. This not impress you yet? Well then, picture it’s 1951 and you’re cruising down Main St. in Anytown, USA, your arm is hangin’ out the window and you’re listen to some classic rock and roll and the radio. Then picture all the looks you get as people hear that big 425 Nailhead V8 rumbling under the hood.

This car is cool, plain and simple. It doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but exploits everything it is with wonderful style and flair. Fify years from now this old ‘51 Chevy will still be turning heads and giving passer byers goose bumps. It’s a pity most people won’t be able to say the same.

There are still more chances to win, so if you haven’t already thrown your hat into the ring, make sure to enter the Amoco Ultimate Your Car Is Worth It Photo Contest!

Beautiful example of an old Chevy. Nice to see one not pimped out and just a natural classic car beauty.
