SEMA 2008: Corsa Motorsports Le Mans Prototype Car

After watching Corsa Motorsports’ cars run in the Petit Le Mans last month, I was stoked to run across one of them in the Dunlop booth. It’s a Zytek LMP1, running in the top class of the series against serious contenders like the TDI Audi R10s. Corsa’s cars were supposed to have been ethanol/electric hybrids, running both a 4.5L 90-degree V8 and a 35 kW direct-drive electric motor—but since the electric technology wasn’t ready in time for this season’s races, they’re hoping to debut the hybrid during the 2009 season of American Le Mans Series. More pics after the jump.
