SEMA 2008: Lamborghini Reventon in the Pirelli Booth

By John Coyle

Obviously, I’ve seen pics of Lambo’s uber-rare, million dollar supercar before, but I was still excited to see one in person. The only thing that sucked? The Pirelli folks had it surrounded by obnoxious, picture-ruining barriers. And while I understand that this is a pricey car and everything, SEMA is hardly a K-Mart parking lot. All the folks on the floor are respectful, and know better than to rub their grubby mitts all over the show cars. But that said, I absolutely loved the lines of this Italian Stallion—it really couldn’t look more different the Murcialago it’s based on—and I think I actually managed to get some good shots. Check them out after the jump.

Response to Jason Trieb comment on Nov 8.

Your comment in regards to idiots touching cars and especially idiots from other countries. Im from Australia, Ive attended Sema in the past, enjoyed the show and the hospitality of your fell countrymen. I am also the owner of a number of American Classic cars. 2 x 1955 ford thunderbirds, 1 x 1955 Ford fairlane victoria, 1 x 1966 Ford Galaxie and 3 Australian built 1955 ford mainline utes.

Am I one of the idiots from overseas that you commented on.

Your arrogant stupid and idiotic comments reflect badly on your fellow countrymen. Pull your head in. IDIOT….

we had it roped off because there are too many idiots, especially idiots from other countries, at the show, they would have touched it and im sure damaged it

If I had ridiculous amounts of money… that would be my car. I don’t give a rat’s ass what anyone would think of it or me for driving it. That would be my freaking ride.

Thing is, they probably had to get a bunch of forklifts just to get it on top of that shallow platform. I’ll bet nobody was actually looking at the tires though.

I’m guessing the barriers are there to prevent any uncontrollable acts of dragonism.
