Somewhere Under All That Is A BMW
Sure, vehicles built for audio competition don’t always have to look like something you could actually drive. But seriously, this fugly sound stage BMW doesn’t even have a steering wheel. Of course we’ve had the Alpine "Sinister Six" in the blog before—it’s been around for a few years, and how it’s managed to evade the crusher all this time is a mystery. The car’s days may be numbered, though—it seemed neglected, and was covered in dust. More…

Rebirth of the sinister six… wrong!
If one can get past the epilectic paint scheme, the curves and most (not all) of the work has some potential… However, this says, “I couldn’t think of what to do, so I’ll jsut rip someone else’s ideas.”
I know mimicking is the ultimate form of flattery, but come on… If you are going to use an idea, at least express the idea and how it came to be, not just mime it.

Now what I don’t understand is why they would make the interior like that and why it has a Pontiac Solstice grill. This monstrosity is almost (I said almost) bearable, I think if it had a nice single color or two tone paint job it would be nice on the outside, now the inside on the other hand should be scrapped and start all over I think making it look more like a Lamborghini crossed with tuners interior might work.

Looks beasty on the outside but alas, I do believe this car should go. Possibly given to the navy to launch off of a carrier!

…nothing there that couldn’t be put right by a few sticks of TNT or some C4 plastique. I had some expoxy resin that kicked too early and ended up in the mixing can looking a lot like this… car, is it? I didn’t have the courage or intestinal fortitude to look at any other images of this abortion – you say there is no steering wheel? What on earth would you want with one of those if you found yourself in the driver’s seat of this pile-o-puke? No self-respecting crusher would have anything to do with this ka-ka; the only thing you could do is piss it against a hot brick wall and let it evaporate in the sun. I did that to one of those great pacific slugs once and it worked fine! Otherwise, hang your head in shame and try to slide out of the show unnoticed. This is a career ending association…

It’s not as ugly as, say, an AMC Eagle. It kinda looks like a rapid rabid rabbit. Needs a steering wheel though, but I guess that would screw up the acoustics.

If it didn’t have the insides, i would totally drive this thing. Like if the insides were like, you know, gas, brake, clutch (yes, manny tranny you sissies) and a steering wheel, along with a tach or at least a speedo i would drive this at night with red headlights. so what if they’re illegal, who’s gonna pull me over anyways? lol.

If this sees the crusher it would be a waste. Sure, it dosen’t make any sense at all to make a car non-driveable, but maybe something could be done with this to salvage it.

It looks pretty mean to me.

Sure, it doesn’t look all that sexy – but damn, it looks evil.

I saw this car in person a few years ago and it was pretty impressive the amount of work put into it! I’m not saying this is the best thing I ever seen… but different for a Beemer. It’s not something you drive. Someone had some extra cash to throw away! It will meet the crusher soon enough. I’ve seen worse!

There is no way you couldn’t appreciate the custom body and paint work put into this vehicle.

I saw this car in person a block away from my house.
And just to clarify… it’s hideous in person too.
ESPECIALLY with that rotating bathtub in the middle.

just completely awful. Nothing inspires hot burning hatred in my heart quite like a sound car.
