Mercedes-Benz GLK Ultimate Tuner Challenge Cars

So yesterday, I was pretty confident I’d found my favorite entry into the GLK Tuner Challenge. I mean, a Benz designed to be skated on? That’s just too much. But after checking out the competition, I’m going to have to revise that decision. As Captain Bacon said, race cars are always cooler than show cars, so I’m going to have to cast my vote for RennTech’s Rally Racer. I love the widebody, matte paint, and utilitarian interior, and I also like the fact that, as Jen says, it could "get driv." Seriously. But that doesn’t mean the versions from Boulevard Customs and Barbus aren’t sick. Unfortunately, the Boulevard Customs version was parked outside, and between its white paint and the bright Vegas sun, I couldn’t get a decent shot, so I had to use a press pic. Keep in mind, guys – Mercedes assigned the tuners their theme. Brabus got “ultimate tuner/autobahn” (and delivered the exact same thing they always build – massive fail, IMO). RENNtech was told to build a rally-style car. BLVD (the white power-wheels car) was told to build an “urban whip”.

To me, BLVD and RENNtech did what they were supposed to: built a theme car. Brabus just did what the always do.

Love the matte red and black. Didn’t think I would enjoy a matte finish on a car, but that is so clean looking!

The Renntech/Seibon build would be the coolest one to drive, but agree, big whaletail wing has to go…

You’ve got to see the interior of the Brabus build to do it any justice; super sweet, super clean.

But the white chop-top looks like a Mercedes mini-Donk… it’s the look they wanted and got, but, ummm, yeah. Not my bag.
