What Brand Does Your Car Wear?
By Ron
aka WayTooFurious
I had some suspension work done on the Valiant recently, and when I got the car back I found a big Pedders sticker on the back window. I didn’t mind, since the guys who did the work managed to get me out of a fix. Besides, there’s something about a bull wearing a helmet and holding a bunch of suspension parts that just cracks me up. However, it does remind me of my previous life when I sold new Fords. We would occasionally get a customer who would insist that there be no dealership stickers or license plate frames on their car when they took delivery. Their theory was that since they were paying us for the car, we could go and advertise elsewhere. It never bothered me, as I was always happy to move another piece of inventory out the door. But their attitude contrasts strongly with the idea I had about the old XP Falcon that I used to own. One of the things that really pleased me about the XP was that it still had the original Heath’s Ford sticker on the back window from 1965, even though that dealership was long gone by the early 90’s. So how about you—what brand does your car wear?

The only sticker on my car is a little foot-u sticker on the back passenger window. i just thought it was kinda funny, it’s a foot giving the middle toe. but besides that there is nothing on my car, no license plate frame, and even my trunk is fully debaged

I have no visible stickers because why would you want a sticker? (unless if it really means something to you) Only sticker I have is a CarDomain sticker on my engine bay and that will be the ONLY sticker I will EVER put in any of my cars.

none. stickers are tacky and pointless unless you’re sponsored.

Im a fan of no stickers myself. I would rather not advertise the products I have on the car, if people know cars they can look at it and know. Its just nice when you run into an idiot that thinks they have a hot rod to talk down your car a little and make an ass of them.

My cars have Newport Beach Fletcher Jones plates all around. I work there so it’s
1. To show I work there
2. To make it look like my Mercedes is from there (I got it from carmax…. lol)
3. To get free car washes at work
4. Because I got them for free and I’d rather not pay for the expensive ones…
My 4Runner has a 311 sticker on the back windshield… which I might have to remove soon because it’s slightly yellowing (not from what you’d think, someone spray painted my car… full coverage on my ride page)

Peeled off the dealership sticker as soon as i parked it. Then peeled off the dearborn plant sticker the next day. I just like things to look smooth, if there were no holes in the panels for the emblems fit into i’d remove them too.

My car is a Mazda and it has the dealership sticker on it. Tumminia Mazda- Kansas City. I feel great about their sticker on my car. They gave me great customer service and I love my car.

Our Freestyle still wears its CarMax sticker. I was working there part-time when we bought it and it’s a little badge of honor to me (I worked there as a second job to make a little extra green and play with cars…lasted 3-4 months). I don’t think our Mazda has any dealer ID on it, and overall I’m not a fan of bumper stickers.

My wife’s liberty has the dealer sticker and all badging removed. The rear window does sport several Jeeping and Off-Roading stickers though.
Grumpy has everything that was on it when I bought it. Dealer sticker, some tattoo parlor’s sticker, a “Sometime I only want to be a missing person.” magnet, and a “I hope God isn’t too picky.” magnet.
Green had a “Carmax” sticker. The paint didn’t fade where is was so you can still read CArmax if you look at it right.

I used to put all the decals on from what components were on the car, until I started racing. Then I realized that my street car was not a race car, and plastering it with decals simply made me look the fool. So I cut back to just the decals of actual, local places that have done work on that specific car. No mass-produced K&N stickers, no Hella/PIAA lighting stickers — those companies don’t know I exist, and I paid retail to have their products, so why should I advertise?
So these days the only adverts on my car are typically the ones that came from the factory — not the dealership, although I would proudly display my friends dealership when I next buy a car from him.

The Judge wears the full Pedders GTO Track II suspension with the one inch drop. It’s awesome!

Generally none. I even peeled the dealer sticker off a car I bought right there in their lot.
My xB though has the sticker that came with my Progress Suspension sway-bar on it. Mostly because I was bored and it was a nice vinyl-cut one nearly the same shade of silver as the Box. It’ll probably last until I’m bored again and pick it off.
